The Father's House was established on April 2, 2000 and is a non-denominational, inter-racial fellowship. Jesus taught us that the greatest two commandments are to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Our desire is to practically walk out that command by receiving the love of the Father and then giving that love away among ourselves and in our community. Most important of all, we are a fellowship of believers who are desperate for the Presence of God..
Our Vision:
People Engaged in Life-Changing Relationships that Transform our Church, our Community, and the World...One Person at a Time!
Our Mission:
Loving as a Father, Living as a Brother, Learning as a Son
Our Core Values:
Loving God and Loving People
Our desire is to be a relational church.
What is a relational church?
Jesus was asked the question, which is the greatest commandment. His answer goes to the very heart of what relational church looks like. He said in Matthew 22:37-40: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." We believe that relationships are the focus of God's kingdom-they are His heart--and they need to be our focus as a church. For us this means that we are working to build:
Relationships more than religious activities
People more than programs
Fathers more than heads of ministry
Sons in relationship and servants in our work-not the other way around
It means that we are going to be very intentional about relationships as we endeavor to accomplish the vision God has given us. That vision is to be people engaged in life-changing relationships that transform our church, our community and our world, one person at a time. We believe in this way we will build the kingdom of God. We invite you to join us on our journey into the very heart of God.
